May is just a fortnight away.

Here you see my upstairs staging area. The potted plants are various species of Datura. They're flanked by other members of the Solanaceae (nightshade) family: tomato, tomatillo, groundcherry, sunberry... oh, yeah, a couple of the potted specimens are Brugmansia sanguinea.

Behind my lovely and deadly Datura, there are all sorts of newly emerging herbs, some more tomatoes, a cupful of fennel, a couple of mandrakes, and a few varieties of chile pepper.

The two largest tomatoes that you see are the Siberian variety, which are said to be able to withstand 40-degree temperatures. I plan on planting those out by May 1... but under a row cover.
