The June wrap-up,
and a taste of things
I'll soon be tasting.

Despite my concerns about how things have developed during the past couple of weeks, there's been beauty and wonder in abundance. Evidence follows:

The last photo shows a Datura leichhardtii flower that opened while I was tending to the Trigram Garden. I have Datura, Brugmansia, Mandragora and Ipomoea species growing 100 feet away from the Trigram. It was only this afternoon that I learned about intentionally planted "poison gardens," but I only selected the spot these plants are in because of the amount of light they'd receive.

Solanaceae row, June 28

Additionally, even though the Trigram will become my lady friend's mother's cutting garden next year, I hope to see the nightshades et al. return in this space.

Anyhow...

As I highlighted earlier: juneberries. So tasty. Soon to be out of season.

The backstairs herbs: sage, chamomile, stevia, oregano, basil and heal-all. There's some peppermint piggybacking on the Prunella, but I didn't take a closeup.
