The last time I went a-tendin'...

...the plants were doing well. I decided to skip a week since there wasn't really any produce to collect. Just seeds that needed to dry (mustards, radish, peas) and tomatoes that needed more heat. There were also new blooms on some of the herbs and wildflowers.

Calendula

Blessed thistle

Unripe huckleberries

Broccoli flowers

There are a number of fruits on the tomatoes, and it seems that the tomatillos that I grew from seed aren't true to type. Something happened, because the fruit that's coming is is unsheathed and quite large.

One of the unidentified tomato plants grown from seed that was given to me turned out to be a cherry tomato producer. There were a couple of arrays of fruits hanging over the edge of the bed. The vines of some Rivea corymbosa that I was given are growing up past those fruits, then twisting along the twine that holds the weight of the other tomatoes.

Nightshades and moonflower vines

In other nightshade news: I cleared out the bed that contained the cool-weather vegetables and replaced them with several Datura that I grew at home and at the Greenhouses of Hope.

Finally, on the other end of Kane County, an ashwagandha plant that I gave to some friends has blown up.
